Askew Theatre Company was founded in 2009 in Los Angeles to showcase the works of new and emerging playwrights. The company consisted of an ensemble of actors and artists of color that got together several times a year to workshop new plays. 

We focus on plays that reflect and represents the ever-changing culture of American Life through the perspective of marginalized groups. Askew Theatre Company is the first theatre company in this region founded and operated by queer Latino artists..
